Ms. LEE: On October 13, 2016 we interviewed the NEW science teacher Ms.Lee. This is her first year at our school and she loves teaching science and teaching kids how to love science. She has some very interesting answers to our questions and looks forward to a year of success.
Q: How was your summer?
A: It was quite busy, I was teaching summer school to the incoming 8th graders.
Q: What/who inspired you to become a teacher.
A: I have always liked working with kids and science. I have always had a great number of teachers and I have looked up to them.
Q: If you were in a scary situation what would you pick a phone or a weapon?
A: Phone, because I would rather not be violent.
Q: What do you eat for breakfast?
A: When I am in a rush I usually eat a bagel, when I have time I eat oatmeal and my favorite breakfast is pancakes.
Q: Do you have any pets?
A: I have no pets, but I had a lizard when I was a kid for many years.
Q: How many years have you been at this school?
A: This is my first year at this school.
Q: How do you travel to school?
A: I take the New Jersey transit train to Newark and then I take the path train and walk from there.
Q: What’s your favorite animal?
A: Cuttle fish.
Q: What’s your favorite dessert?
A: Chocolate Ice cream.
Q: What’s your favorite season?
A: Summer was a good time plus I got to hang with my family, swim, and got to go on walks.
Q: What’s your favorite show?
A: My favorite show is ‘Nova’ (a science show).
Q: Who’s your favorite author?
A: My favorite author is Ivane Coyote which are short stories about life.
Q:Last question, what is your goal for the year?
A: My goal for this year is to teach folks science and to teach them how to like it.
